Doctor Multimedia Client Plays Prank On Her Account Manager

Doctor Multimedia is currently in attendance at Fetch Virginia Beach 2018! We love seeing our clients and catching up with them at conferences, and Fetch is no different. Two of our Digital Marketing Consultants ran into Nicole, the Practice Director at Mayo Veterinary Services and together the three of them decided to play a prank on Nicole’s account manager, Steven.

Nicole originally switched to Doctor Multimedia from iMatrix, and has been very impressed and satisfied with our services after almost a year of frustration with her old website provider. To Prank Steven, she texted him saying that she was switching back to her old website.

Steven wasn’t having it, and immediately called her from another conference he was attending to convince her to stay. They continued the prank for a little longer until Nicole finally let Steven know what was going on, and ensured that she loved her website and wasn’t going anywhere.

We cherish the relationship we have with our clients, and truly care about every member of the Doctor Multimedia family. If you’d like to speak with us about your digital marketing needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us today!

Check out the full details of the prank in Nicole’s Instagram post below:

Shout out to the hardest working marketing team on the planet, @doctormultimedia I was stuck hosting my webpage though Vetmatrix for over 9 months and our website was never finished and updates were not finalized. Oh, by the way, did you know that if you're with Vetmatrix, you're only RENTING your site. Yeah, that means if you decide to switch; poof- website gone! Well, you'll not only get to keep your website even if you cancel with @Doctormultimedia but they'll beat Vetmatrix's price on your monthly fee and they're open 24/7 to call and submit edits to. Soooooo, why am I posting this? Because these two guys here helped me play a wicked #prank on my sales rep, Steven, whom I've grown to know through sales shows. I texted Steven and told him I wanted to cancel and I was planning on going back to Vetmatrix. He, being an awesome sales rep, was not having it. HE CALLED FROM ANOTHER SHOW just to convince me to stay. So, we kept going with the prank. While surrounded by his co-workers and put his colleague on pretending to be my angry Doctor. Well, he didn't catch on so we gave up the prank; he may have had a tiny heart attack. But, overall, he was a great sport about it and then proceeded to ensure I was in fact, satisfied with my website. ? #lvt #cvt #rvt #veterinarymedicine #vettech #veterinarian #vettechlife #veterinary #vetnurse #vetmed #veterinarystudent #veterinarytechnician #veterinario #doctor #prevet #vetschool #veterinarynurse #vet #vetlife #techlife #joke #tradeshow

iMatrix Receives 20th Complaint/Bad Review With Better Business Bureau

BBB

“They are just a terrible company with terrible customer service. High pressure sales with no follow through.”

Many of our clients have informed us that they are repeatedly being contacted by a company named iMatrix (also known as VetMatrix, ChiroMatrix, etc.) with offers of a “special deal” and “no contract.” We have been informing those clients as to iMatrix’s poor reputation, but due to the increasing frequency of these questions, we feel the need to let all of our clients know that iMatrix just received their 20th complaint/bad review with the Better Business Bureau. Many of their complaints specifically reference the “special deal” they are offering:

“I call to cancel, and although I was told on NO UNCERTAIN terms that there are no contracts, no cancellation fees, and that we can cancel anytime, I learned today that there is a contract… Now we are being charged for another 30 days for a website that we never liked, that never did a fraction of a fraction what they said it would do for us, even after giving them a year! I have to pay them for another month and the website was taken down days ago! I was not happy, to say the least. The person I spoke with said that it’s term 22 in the terms agreement. Which I did look over, but trusted the sales rep when he said that there is no contract, cancel anytime, etc… This company has been very misleading and has cost us a lot of time and money!” Brian W., 3/12/2018

“They agreed to build me a new website. The first month would cost me $49.50. The company automatically billed my credit card for $99.00 on 3/27/17 then emailed me a bill for $99.00. I didn’t know they had automatically billed my credit card so I mailed them a check for $99.00 on 3/28/17.”

As business owners, we all know that unhappy clients don’t immediately turn to the Better Business Bureau. Busy people, especially doctors, always try to resolve their issue directly with the company first. Only after repeated failed attempts do people turn to the Better Business Bureau, figuring they have nowhere else to turn.

So for a company to have 20 such complaints/bad reviews, without a single positive review with the BBB, proves the misleading nature of what they are promising. For every BBB complaint, there are hundreds of other doctors with similar frustrations and issues.

Specifically, iMatrix has been making it extremely difficult for doctors to cancel their services. They are requiring that doctors submit a survey, answer unscheduled calls, and send along domain information before they release clients from their contracts.

“My problems with this business began when I tried to discontinue my service. I called a month before my service renewed. They asked me to fill out a form for each of my businesses which I did. I was under the impression that this was all I needed to do. Then I got a bill for service. I called and they told me I needed to respond to some email they sent me and that the forms I filled out had expired. Now I am suppose to go back and re fill out the forms and re start the process. It is taking and act of God just to discontinue the service. Meanwhile I have been charged for services I didn’t even want. I would not even start with them because of the numerous tasks that have to be done just to discontinue the service. It is just not worth it.” Shane P., 2/16/18

We offer this information as a warning to our doctors to research companies that solicit them, especially those offering “discount” pricing over the phone. There is almost alway a cost to these discounts. For too many iMatrix clients, that has been billing headaches four months after they sign up, at which point it is too late to easily change their website.

In the world of internet companies, there is no other word for these practices than “scam.” Here are just a few samples from complaints filed with the BBB:

“What I was told/sold is not what we received. Our sales rep sold us a wonder product designed to generate leads and put us higher on organic searches, this was going to solve our problems as a small business.”

“We were lied to and ignored and have not received what we paid for.”

“This entire time we were paying $99 a month to SELF Maintain our website!! All they did was slap up a sub-par website, no SEO, no new info to rank in google, that was all up to the us for $99 a month!! RIP OFF!!…Then when we canceled our account they also canceled our domain registration and made it more difficult to move to a new company..They are just a terrible company with terrible customer service, High Pressure sales with no follow through.” Candice L., 2/16/18

“This is the worst company to sign up with for SEO and website design. Our sales person promised us a working website with a month, so we signed up. 3 months into the process, our website was not done or live. When we requested it be a live site, there were several problems. Wrong contact information, missing information, generic content and even a Doctor listed as an authorized user who has no affiliation with our practice! When we decided to switch website design companies, iMatrix said all we would need to do was contact the domain registration company and have the info transferred over. It’s been 2 months since we’ve canceled with iMatrix and according to the domain registration company, they have yet to release our domain. Save yourself the trouble and use a different company!! I am only giving them 1 start because I cannot give them less!” Paul C., 12/11/17

“Every time I actually do speak to someone, which is rare, I am told that a manager will call me, which…doesn’t happen or they have to review what happened and then get back to me, which still doesn’t happen. Needless to say the customer service is non-existent and extremely poor.”

“We have been promised the refund and have not received it. We have been promised…that we would receive returned phone calls on multiple occasions and have yet to receive one. Now no one is answering our calls at all.”

device mockups googleBy now you should know the importance of having a dynamite mobile website. Just look around your lobby — chances are most people will be on their mobile devices.

But it is no longer enough to just have a mobile website that looks good. Now that Google has rolled out mobile-first indexing, the way your mobile website is built will have significant impact on how well your desktop website ranks in the search results.

What is mobile-first indexing? Essentially, Google is now starting to give preference to websites that have well built mobile websites, even on desktop search results. So in other words, if you don’t have a great mobile website, your website will drop in the search results even when your clientele is searching for you from a computer.

All business owners know how important the search engine results can be in driving clients through your doors. It can be a battlefield for many businesses, making or breaking their bottom line. SEO is something that is no longer just for your tech person to worry about, it has to be addressed and monitored by management too.

It’s a nearly impossible task. But don’t worry, that’s where Doctor Multimedia comes in. We can fill that essential role, taking the heavy lifting off your plate while communicating to you the information you need to make the best decisions for your business.

Doctor Multimedia Sends Employees to Spain

Screen Shot 2018-03-12 at 10.16.42 PM

At Doctor Multimedia, we pride ourselves in giving our employees a great place to work. But we realize that our company is not just based on great service and products, instead it is built on the people that help provide them to our clients.

We are always looking for ways to reward our employees, whether with free lunches, gifts, or in the case of two special employees, a trip anywhere in the world!

Ashley and Ryan Mann have been with Doctor Multimedia for years, dedicating countless hours to their jobs. They both take a great deal of pride in what they do and have been going above and beyond for their entire time with us. They have also both seen the company continue to grow, and they have been instrumental in that.

That is why Doctor Multimedia’s CEO, AJ Thakore, decided to reward them in a way that no other company does. Knowing that they love to travel, he offered them a once in a lifetime chance to visit any country in the world!

As fans of beaches, tapas, and culture, Ashley and Ryan decided to spend their vacation touring Spain.

We would like to thank Ashley and Ryan for their hard work and we hope they enjoy their time abroad!

Google Reviews are Increasingly More Important

You likely know the importance of online reviews to your business by now. In the same way that word of mouth was a main determining factor of consumer choices in the past, online reviews have become the same type of determinant. In fact, SearchEngineLand.com found that “85 percent of consumers trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations.” So in many ways, online reviews are just another form of word of mouth.

But not all online review websites are created equal. Google has dominated the online review landscape since 2016, overtaking facebook as the number one source of online reviews. However, it is still important to be active with your facebook reviews, along with Yelp to a lesser extent.

By paying attention to the major online review websites, you can not only see what your business’ word of mouth is, but you can respond to it and help shape the narrative that is being told about you and your employees.

Why has Google dominated the world of online reviews in recent years? SearchEngineLand.com identified three main reasons:

  • Google’s sheer scale, visibility and primary purpose as a search engine means every time someone searches for a local business, they’re offered the option to leave a review.
  • Google’s native integration into Android devices means that it’s able to get its Google My Business reviews in front of a very large number of smartphone users.
  • Google has been significantly pushing for more users to leave reviews, with a notable increase in the number of notifications users receive after frequenting a business.

As you can see in the following chart from BrightLocal, Google’s growth in online reviews reflects their dominance over their competitors. What this means to business owners is that your potential clients are most likely to read about you on Google, underscoring the importance of managing your Google reviews.

brightlocal1-800×506

Of course, managing your online reviews is easier said than done. As a busy medical health professional, you likely don’t have the time to properly manage your reviews. But don’t worry, that’s where Doctor Multimedia can help. Call us today at 800-679-3309 for a free consultation.

iMatrix Allowing Stevie Esparza To Perpetuate Racist Stereotypes

Screen Shot 2018-02-20 at 5.15.26 PM

To Stevie Esparza and The Employees of iMatrix:

It has come to my attention that Stevie Esparza and iMatrix are making the following claims about my company, Doctor Multimedia. Specifically, on February 13, 2018 at approximately 11:00 a.m. Stevie Esparza said the following to a prospective client on the phone. Given that this information is being circulated around the medical community, I want to be sure address the following inaccurate statements:

Lie #1. Doctor Multimedia outsources all work to India. Stevie emphasized this was “100% fact.”

We do not have a single employee, freelancer, or contractor in India. But, what is worse is the fact that these racist claims are based upon that I, along with my two business partners, are Indian. Marcus Sullivan at VetMatrix made similar prejudicial claims four years ago when he said our phone calls “go to a call center in India,” and clearly the racist rhetoric at iMatrix has not stopped. iMatrix allows its employees to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

Despite the fact that Doctor Multimedia owners: (1) were born and raised in the United States; (2) do not have accents; and (3) are successful in this country, iMatrix continues to appeal to fear based solely on skin color. This is an insult not only to us, but to our happy employees that travel every day to our beautiful office in La Jolla.

Lie # 2. Doctor Multimedia was started by people that were fired from iMatrix.

Neither my business partners nor I have never worked, or would even consider, working at iMatrix. We spent over 4 years building this company on our own before hiring a former iMatrix employee. As you know, he was not fired.  He quit after seeing how much more we pay. There is not a single person within our company that iMatrix ever fired. Rather, they all left iMatrix voluntarily.

Lie # 3. The CEO of Doctor Multimedia is a trust fund kid.

I am from a middle-class family. Both of my parents immigrated from India with no money. My dad was a textile chemist while my mom taught special education. My parents could not afford my college education. I paid for that myself. You might assume all Indian parents in this country are doctors, but that is not the case. Everything I have, I earned myself.

Lie # 4. Doctor Multimedia doesn’t have any employees.

More racist claims based on fear of outsourcing. We have employees registered in California, Nevada, and Texas. We had to move our San Diego offices, twice, to keep up with our growth and we are looking to move again.

Lie # 5. All Doctor Multimedia’s reviews are written by employees.

This is confusing considering Stevie does not think we have any employees, but we have 255 Google Reviews and 64 Facebook Reviews. We are the highest rated medical marketing company because our products and services are superior to yours.

Lie # 6. Doctor Multimedia is not allowed at conferences by the Florida Chiropractic Association or allowed to exhibit at Life University or contact any Life University graduates.

We attended past conferences put on by both organizations and will continue to attend said conferences. The director of Life University, Mark Elam, personally invited us to attend their upcoming meeting.

Lie # 7. Doctor Multimedia has signed 33 clients from ChiroMatrix and 11 have switched back.

Hundreds of iMatrix clients have joined Doctor Multimedia over the last sixty (60) days.

Lie # 8. Website edits and changes have to be communicated through your sales representative. Access is not given to the back end of the website.

We offer twenty-four-hour (24) customer service by phone, text, and email. The owners of the company regularly answer the phone lines to ensure our customers receive the highest level of service. We provide our clients with the same website access we have.  Clients own their respective websites and have complete control over said websites. Additionally, we provide FTP and CPanel access.

Lie # 9. Only two employees that used to work at iMatrix still work at Doctor Multimedia. One is Steven Marinkovich and the other is Troy Leonard. Steven Marinkovich was fired from iMatrix after they could no longer send him to conferences. He was banned from Uber and Lyft. Troy Leonard no longer attends conferences.

Steven Marinkovich was never banned from Uber or Lyft. Steven Marinkovich resigned from iMatrix and attended shows until his resignation. Troy Leonard resigned after iMatrix did not match what we offered to pay him. He attends conferences weekly, which our clients can attest to. Michael Chavez works for us as well.

Lie # 10. Doctor Multimedia owns client’s domain names.

We inform every one of our clients that they should own their respective domain names and offer management for those customers who want us to handle it because they trust us.

Lie # 11. All of Doctor Multimedia’s clients are in the veterinary field.

We have many clients who are dentists, optometrists, general practitioners, and now chiropractors.

Lie # 12. DVM Multimedia changed their name to Doctor Multimedia in order stay in business.

We changed our name to Doctor Multimedia to service more doctors and provide more marketing solutions to the medical industry.

Lie # 13. iMatrix uses HTML 5 and Doctor Multimedia uses HTML 3, which means iMatrix sites rank higher in search engines.

As internet marketers you should know how absurd this sounds. Doctor Multimedia uses HTML 5.

We are issuing this notice to put iMatrix employees on notice. iMatrix needs to watch what it says about us. Our clients advise us that iMatrix is holding their clinics hostage when they try to leave. We advise our clients to take notes to document how frustrating and long the iMatrix cancellation process can take.

We have happy, satisfied clients and that alone produces more business than your scare tactics ever will.  Please stop spreading racially insensitive remarks and lies about Doctor Multimedia.

The Vet Life Starts 3rd Season With Hurricane Harvey Special

25659319_2451103255115053_1695440991084723615_n
Long time Doctor Multimedia client Cy-Fair Animal Hospital is led by the the three stars of Animal Planet’s reality television show “The Vet Life.” The show chronicles Dr. Diarra Blue, Dr. Michael Lavigne, and Dr. Aubrey Ross as they run a full-service hospital and animal shelter while managing family lives filled with spouses, parents, in-laws, children, pets and friends.

Doctor Multimedia worked with Dr. Blue and Dr. Lavigne as far back as their days practicing in Las Vegas. When the doctors moved to Houston, Doctor Multimedia handled the launch of their website and social media.

The Vet Life just kicked off their third season on television, with the premier episode focusing on the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. The storm flooded Houston last August, affecting hundreds of thousands of homes. Any time homeowners are displaced, pets are tragically affected. Many are lost or abandoned, and many fall sick or die from the horrible conditions. The last episode of “The Vet Life” documented Cy-Fair’s opening after the hurricane and the remarkable relief efforts of local veterinarians.

Doctor Multimedia would like to congratulate our long time friends Dr. Blue, Dr. Lavigne, and Dr. Ross and their entire staff on their efforts to help their community in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

Check out the next episode of The Vet Life this Saturday, January 20th at 10 pm EST.

Hunter and Doctor Multimedia’s Story

Screen Shot 2018-01-16 at 1.00.08 PMMeet Hunter, a roughly 4 year old pit bull who spent most of his life living on the streets with a homeless owner. Hunter and his owner would sleep outside in a sleeping bag on a nightly basis. In April of 2017, that owner was sent to prison and Hunter was not only homeless, but ownerless.

Hunter was put up for adoption and was noticed by Kelly, a sister of a Doctor Multimedia employee. Hunter’s story particularly touched Kelly as both her and her husband are in law enforcement. Kelly and her husband adopted Hunter and brought him home to join the dog they already had.

The first few months at Hunter’s new home were a dream come true. Hunter had a roof over his head, a friend to spend the day with, and multiple acres to safely roam. Kelly and her husband’s lives changed too, as they found out they were expecting their first child in 2018.

Screen Shot 2018-01-16 at 12.59.58 PMIn September, Kelly noticed Hunter started limping. As the limp got worse, she took Hunter to see their local veterinarian, who thought it might be a strained muscle and said to bring Hunter back in a week. The limp continued to get worse and on the return visit, x-rays revealed that Hunter had torn both ACLs in both his back legs. Surgery was the only option to save Hunter.

Looking for a trusted surgeon, Kelly and her family turned to Doctor Multimedia client Mohnacky Animal Hospital. Chief of Surgery Dr. Zoran Djordjevich (known as “Dr. George”) met with Kelly to review Hunter’s case. Hunter needed to have both ACLs repaired, but the surgeries had to take place one at a time in order for him to recover properly. The cost of each surgery was $5700, bringing the total for surgery to over $11,000.

With a baby on the way, this cost was simply not feasible for Kelly and her family. They began confronting the sad possibility of having to put down the dog they had just rescued from a life of homelessness.

When AJ Thakore, CEO of Doctor Multimedia, heard about Hunter’s situation, he knew he had to help.

Screen Shot 2018-01-16 at 12.59.46 PM“We started this company to help animals, which we are able to do each and every day,” said AJ. “But here was a situation where, because of our success, we were uniquely in a position to save a dog that was part of Doctor Multimedia’s extended family.”

Without any thought, AJ and Doctor Multimedia donated the cost of both surgeries to Mohnacky Animal Hospital to repair Hunter’s ACLs.

The first surgery took place in mid October and Hunter has been recovering well. Hunter has been recuperating by staying in his crate and on leash. Not knowing his own strength, Hunter tries to be more active than he should, and actually shows no signs of limping. The final follow up occurs this Friday, when Hunter may receive the green light to resume normal activity. Then, preparations can begin for the second procedure, which will have Hunter in the best shape of his life.

The last nine months have been a whirlwind and a roller coaster for Hunter, Kelly, and their entire family. But with Hunter looking good and her first child due in March, Kelly and her family have never been happier.

“We are thankful beyond words,” said Kelly. “It’s easy to take for granted that your pet will be around into old age. After what we went through, to have Hunter here and doing well as we start our human family is a blessing. We want to thank Doctor Multimedia, Mohnacky Animal Hospitals, and everyone else who helped make this possible.”

At Doctor Multimedia, new pictures of Hunter playing regularly make our day. We wish Hunter good luck this Friday as he gets cleared to be his big, lovable, clumsy self once again!
